Storage & Handling Guide

Proper storage keeps research peptides stable and potent. This guide covers how to store your vials before and after reconstitution, how to handle bacteriostatic water, and typical shelf-life ranges. These are general laboratory-handling notes — not medical or usage advice.

Unopened (lyophilized)

Sealed powder vials are stable and forgiving. Keep cool, dark and dry until you reconstitute.

After mixing

Once liquid, refrigerate at 2–8 °C and use within a few weeks. Never freeze a reconstituted vial.

Sterile technique

Swab every stopper with alcohol, use a fresh syringe each time, and avoid touching the needle.

1. Before reconstitution (lyophilized powder)

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides are very stable. For short periods (a few weeks) they can sit at room temperature away from light and heat. For longer storage, keep them refrigerated, and for many months or longer, a freezer is ideal.

2. Bacteriostatic & acetic acid water

Bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) is your standard diluent and can be reused for multiple draws because the benzyl alcohol limits bacterial growth. Some peptides dissolve better in acetic acid water.

3. After reconstitution (liquid)

Once you add water, the peptide is far more delicate. Always refrigerate and protect from light.
